Research Conducted by CBI

When CBI is investigating the background of a potential employee, our researchers use various official databases of information to independently verify the authenticity of information provided on the employment application.

The types of information CBI verifies include:

  • Employment and Educational History. Our researchers verify the candidate’s education, prior work history, gaps in employment, references and the positions held by these individuals, professional associations, directorships, and company records. We also perform a full 10 year (without gaps) background screening conforming to all local legislative requirements including BS7858 standards and IS999:2004 requirements.
  • Personal and Financial Background. Our researchers verify the candidate’s driver’s license, address, credit issues, commercial loan screenings, and criminal history (where local legislation allows). We also perform a media search to locate any published information on the candidate, and verify if the candidate is a Foreign National.
  • Personality Profiling and Analysis. Our researchers are specially trained in creating personality profiles for potential employees on behalf of our clients. A full personality profile identifies all of the characteristics a person brings to employment, including working strengths, fears, motivators and values. Our evaluation also identifies any problems, frustrations, or pressures that may be present. As part of personality profiling, our researchers can study personnel reviews, candidate feedback, compatibility assessments, interview questionnaires, and job descriptions. And our researchers can produce a training needs analysis, and perform audits on management, sales, technical/administration, call centers, and teams.

Additionally, CBI researchers verify information provided by third parties during the course of our background search.
